Uzbekistan-Israel: An agreement was signed to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the field of tourism



An agreement on strengthening bilateral cooperation was signed on May 17 at the Hilton Hotel in Tashkent between Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan - Minister of Tourism and Cultural Heritage Aziz Abdukhakimov and Minister of Tourism of Israel Yoel Razvozov.

The document envisages increasing the flow of tourists between the two countries, increasing flights and strengthening cooperation between the tourism business, the exchange of airtime, the organization of exhibitions of famous artists of the two countries, the Samarkand Silk Road. It envisages the development of cooperation between the International University of Tourism and partner educational institutions in Israel.
After the signing ceremony, the Uzbek and Israel tourism ministers answered journalists' questions. In particular, Yoel Razvozov noted that Uzbekistan is a country with a rich history and cultural heritage, noting that the desire of Israelis to travel to our country is growing. The high-ranking guest also praised the ongoing reforms and creative work in our country.

According to Yoel Razvozov, the signing of the agreement will serve to bring cooperation between Uzbekistan and Israel in the field of tourism to a new level and significantly increase the flow of tourists.
It should be noted that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the State of Israel. In this regard, at the initiative of the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage and the efforts of the Ambassador of Tourism of Uzbekistan to Israel Hay Davidov from June 14 to June 21 in 5 Israeli cities (Holon, Ashdod, Petah Tikwa, Ramle, Or Yeuda) Uzbek singer Bahrom Nazarov. concert programs will be held. Within the framework of the cultural program, the tourist potential of our country will also be demonstrated. For information, Hay Davidov is one of the most active promoters of tourism in the country. He visits Uzbekistan several times a year and demonstrates the tourism potential of our historic cities in Israel through videos.

In addition, it should be noted that the kosher standard has been introduced in our country for the convenience of tourists from Israel.

It should be noted that on May 17, the Ministers of Uzbekistan and Israel took part in the international exhibition Tashkent Travel March 2022 in Tashkent. During the event, officials spoke with representatives of the tourism business and the media.
