Center for Economic Research of Uzbekistan enters TOP 10 in 2020 Global Go To Think Tanks Index Report

Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies was ranked first out of 58 think tanks in Central Asia according to 2020 Global Go To Think Tanks Index Report, compiled by the University of Pennsylvania (USA). Caucasus Research Resource Center was placed second and Afghanistan Research and Evaluation Unit (AREU) placed third. The Center for Economic Research of Uzbekistan was ranked 10th.

Afghanistan has the biggest number of think tanks (46) in the region, Kazakhstan has 43, Kyrgyzstan 29, Uzbekistan 13 and Tajikistan only nine.

The 2020 Global Go To Think Tank Index (GGTTI) marks the fifteenth year of continued efforts by the Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program (TTCSP) at the University of Pennsylvania to acknowledge the important contributions and emerging global trends of think tanks worldwide.
