Uzbekistan and Israel will increase cooperation in the agriculture industry



Tel Aviv, February 6 / News Agency ′′ Donio ′′ ". Representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and the State Plant Quarantine Division under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan held negotiations with the Deputy CEO of the Ministry of Agriculture and Village Development in Israel, Michal Levi, so the news agency ′′ Donio ′′ reported.
The event, which took place in the form of a video conference, was organized by the embassy of our country in Israel.
During the meeting, issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of agriculture were discussed, including options of innovative interaction, supply of agricultural produce of Uzbekistan to the Israeli market.
The Israeli side recognized the advanced reforms undertaken in the field of agriculture in Uzbekistan and steps taken to improve the activities of farms based on innovative solutions and technologies.
A new system of information and innovation in agriculture has been introduced in Uzbekistan - Agricultural Knowledge Innovations and System (AKIS), developed with the assistance of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the Global Environment Facility (GEF), as part of the Agricultural Development Strategy for 2020-2030. Attention A special heart is dedicated to the potential of different platforms within the framework of AKIS to establish cooperation with agricultural factories in Israel, presentation of innovative products and product development of Israeli companies and research institutions.
During the negotiations, a high estimate was given to the work carried out in our country for reforms in the field of agriculture. Michal Levi expressed interest in developing joint projects and proposals, considering the innovative working methods of israel in the field of agricultural knowledge and technology.
Agreement has been achieved to continue targeted dialogue and interaction in areas of mutual interest, including replacing proposals on attracting Israeli partners to implement the AKIS system.
