Cooperation between Uzbekistan and Israel archives will be established


The Ozarchiv agency held a meeting with the israel ambassador in Uzbekistan Zahavit Ben Hillel.
In the event, organized on the occasion of the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, representatives of the Committee on Inter-Ethnic Relations and Friendship Relations with Foreign Countries participated under the Ministerial Government and the Friendship Company of Uzbekistan-israel
In the meeting, we discussed the issues of developing inter-ethnic tolerance, harmony and friendly relations, while buying a new quality of bilateral cooperation in social, economic, scientific and technical, environmental, informative, cultural, educational and others, while emphasizing values like equality, justice and mutual understanding , as well as strengthening the legal framework in this direction.
Topics for identifying archive documents about the fate of Jews who were evacuated to our country during World War II, creating digital copies of them, expanding cooperation in creating an electronic search system.
Ms. Zahavit Ben Hillel emphasized that after World War II, the global community must support all initiatives aimed at preventing future crimes against humanity, and also that there is a need to create close cooperation between Archives israel and Uzbekistan. Another said that the Israeli side will provide the necessary support for the ′′ Holocaust ′′ project launched by the Ozarchiv Agency, as well as identifying archive documents about the fate of evacuated Jews, making digital copies and developing an electronic search system.
During the meeting, the guests became aware of copies of archive documents presented in the showroom in the National Archive of Uzbekistan.
