The number of people who left and entered Uzbekistan last year has decreased by more than three quarters
Tashkent, January 26, the news agency ′′ Donio ". Last year, 1,504.1 thousand tourists visited Uzbekistan, which is 77.7 percent less than 2019, so the news agency ′′ Donio ′′ reported.
According to the state statistical committee, the number of Uzbek citizens who left the country for tourism in 2020 amounted to 2001.5 thousand people. Compared to the parallel period in 2019, this given decreased by 76.3 percent.
Foreign citizens who arrived in Uzbekistan from the Commonwealth countries amounted to 1,420.3 thousand people, reaching 94.4 percent of their total number, from other countries-83.8 thousand people (5.6 percent of the total numbers).
Meanwhile, the number of citizens of Uzbekistan who left the country last year to the Commonwealth countries registered at a level of 1,843.3 thousand people, which amounted to 92.1 percent of their total number, to other countries-158.2 thousand people (7.9 percent of which total).
The biggest influx of foreign citizens who arrived in Uzbekistan in January-December 2020 is indicated from the following countries: from Kyrgyzstan-508 thousand people, Kazakhstan-424.1 thousand, Tajikistan-337.5 thousand, Russia-81.6 thousand, Turkmenistan - 60.6 thousand, Azerbaijan-2.2 thousand and Belarus-1.6 thousand.
